According to legend, in 2732 BC Emperor Shen Nung discovered tea when leaves from a wild tree blew into his pot of boiling water.

Tea produced by steeping in freshly boiled water the young leaves and leaf buds of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis.The appearance of both the dry and infused leaf is observed, and the aroma of vapour, the colour of liquor, and creaming action (formation of solids when cooled) are assessed.
